NZ Fashion Week set to open with Exhibit hair show

Fashion Week is getting closer….  in just three short weeks, NZ’s biggest fashion show will kick off in Auckland at the Viaduct Events Centre.

In a fashion week first, a show solely dedicated to HAIR, will open the week long event.

On Monday 24th August, five selected salons will be given a  five minute slot to showcase an elaborate display of collective inspiration. With hairdressing rock-stars such as, D&M Hair Design, Fabrik, Ryder, Servilles and Toni & Guy High Street participating, this is without a doubt set to be a show-stopper.

If you are not in the industry, it is very rare that you ever get the opportunity to see such creative talent on stage in this environment. Throughout my career, I have been fortunate enough to sit-in on some phenomenal hair shows for both trade events and award nights, and can honestly say, you will walk away entertained and inspired.  If you have a passion for the unusual, the creative or even just a vision for watching hair, make-up and fashion combine this will likely be an unforgettable experience.

What to expect, in terms of the looks, I am predicting Avant Garde at it’s finest blended with some contemporary runway styles inspired straight from the catwalks  of New York & Paris.  Will it be the bigger the better or sleek and chic?

We will have to wait and see on the night.   The good news is you can be part of the fashion week hair revolution by purchasing tickets via iticket

Earlybird tickets for those in the Industry are $25.00 Earlybird tickets for General Admission are $35.00

I might just see you there!
